Send your manuscript by email.
Attach your manuscript, figures and declarations to an email to the Society’s editorial intake address:
submissions@afmjournal.comUse the subject Advances submission | [manuscript title]. In the message, include the article type, corresponding author, affiliations and a short explanation of the work’s fit with the journal.
This opens your email application. Attach the files and send the message there. Clicking the link alone does not submit your manuscript.
Before sending
- Read the author guidance and include the requested information.
- Confirm that all authors approve the submission.
- Include ethics, consent, funding and conflict disclosures as applicable.
- Remove identifiable patient information from files and metadata. Do not send raw clinical records or signed patient consent forms.
What happens next
The editorial office checks the submission and its fit with the journal. Suitable research proceeds to independent peer review. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, and publication follows completion of review, rights and production requirements.
First publications are planned for 2027. There are no author publication fees at launch.
Photography & image contributions
We invite standalone photographs, clinical and scientific images, illustrations and visual essays for consideration in the annual book. No research manuscript is required.
Send image contributions to submissions@afmjournal.com with the subject Advances annual book | Image contribution.
Include the image files, a title and caption, a short account of their context, creator and copyright details, and the status of required permissions and consent. For a series, suggest a sequence.
