The annual physical book

A year of discovery.
A book to keep.

Standout research. Handpicked images.
The field, brought into focus.

Our planned annual volume brings together selected articles and research from the year with exceptional photography and images from across frontier medicine.

Generous photography, thoughtful sequencing and careful design give form to the field’s many settings, discoveries and human experiences. A physical book for the coffee table, the library and repeated reading.

We invite photography and image contributions for consideration in the book, including work submitted independently of a research manuscript.

The foundation

Free to read.

Free online reader access and no author publication fees at launch. Society membership is not required.

Independent in judgment.

The Society supports publication. Its editorial charter protects decisions about individual manuscripts from directors, donors and sponsors.

Clear enough to use.

Careful methods, honest limitations and purposeful images. Research should help readers understand both a finding and where it applies.
